If you try to avoid touristic crowds, this is your combo! “Jaguar Negro” or “Black jaguar” is the name of this mysterious Mayan ruins lost in the middle of the tropical forest. This particular architecture has extraordinary façades made out of stucco. We will go up to this 130ft. tall acropolis and enjoy the power of the Mayan nature!
This is not a crowded place, but we always love to be the first to arrive! That’s why we will pick you up between 5 and 6 am. Before the adventure begins, relax and enjoy a siesta during the 2 hours 45 mins’ drive.
Inside the jungle, we will take a Mayan limo or a bike ride and head to a delightful open cenote where we will swim and refresh ourselves.
All these adventures will make us super hungry. That’s why we’ll take you for authentic tacos and delicious guacamole!

After eating, we will go on a 1 hour drive. Great time to take a siesta while we arrive to the World Heritage Site by UNESCO, also known as “The most colonial city of the Yucatan Peninsula”, Izamal.
This 16th century yellow city was built by the Spaniards on top of the original Mayan temples as a symbol of the Spanish Conquest. We will take a horse carriage ride around town, and have a few stops on great sites! The Central Market and the Convent of San Antonio de Padua, which is the biggest atrium after the Vatican City, are a must see! A TOURTASTIC EXPERIENCE!
After walking through ancient history, we will have a 3-hour drive back to Playa del Carmen to your hotel.
